February is nearly over...

my oh my, I haven't blogged in awhile - have I? shameful really :)

What's new in my world? Uhm, I am now the proud owner of an Xbox 360 - the middle level one, I caved and bought it when Circuit City had it discounted 20%... I think the best I could have done would have been 30% before they were all gone, but it was soooo hard to resist when I saw it, so I bought it - after tax refunds arrived. Of course, I continued to pick at the decaying carcus called Circuit City - buying games here and there as the prices dipped lower and lower. Currently I am playing "GTA IV" and am utterly addicted. So far there is only one "job" that I am not fond of in the game - a street race, I suck at driving during the "job's" when time is of the essence, I crash into things left and right - flip my car... I just realized the "health and armour" cheat code repairs your car if you are in it when you use it... so now I have my cell phone cued up to cheats while driving so I can inentionally bust the shat out of my car... let's just say so far my favorite car to go on a rampage with is the GTA version of a Hummer... I have to find out of there is a cheat code that will spawn one... that buster can drive over taxi's etc without taking much - if any - damage... Listen to me! See, I told you - addicted.

A bonus with the Xbox being linked to the 'net is that I can fill my Netflix instant access cue up and have a bunch of movies at my disposal. Fun fun!

Things at work have been crazy busy - and I'm ok with that! I'd be a little scurrred if work slowed down too much! We're getting an addition to our dept officially next Monday (3/2) - a friend and co-worker "Val" will be joining us in the role of "Markting Assistant" which is sooo gonna rock, we have needed someone with her skills desperately. It doesn't hurt that we are friends and all three of us ladies have similar senses of humor - but enough difference for a healthy balance.

This morning my car was nearly completely covered in a ridiculously difficult coat of ice. I am now thinking it might have been better had it snowed instead of rain. I had to wait about 15 minutes to leave the parking lot - the only thing that would even budge the ice on the windshield etc was running the car and jacking up the defroster. By the time I got to work I was dying from the heat (in the car)!!! I need to start carrying my camera with me - I would have LOVED a photo of the state of my car this a.m. It happens so rare (thank gawd!).

I am happy it's Friday - I already shut my alarm off so I can sleep in tomorrow - be an indulgent slug for the day. Sunday is off to celebrate Julie (sis n' law)'s birthday. I look forward to seeing my niece :)

Oh - another quick dity to blog about - I am all over the place - recently on Facebook I've had the WONDERFUL luck of reconnecting with some old high school classmates of mine. In fact, I set up a "reunion" group on Facebook so that hopefully anyone from my highschool, graduating year, can find it and join - already people are posting old pictures and I am delighted in all the memories rising up. It is hard to believe that it has been about 22 years since I graduated... all these memory flashbacks make it feel like it was maybe five years ago... our generation looks wonderful for being either 40 - or soon to turn 40 this year... I can't quite grasp the concept of being very close to turning 40... What is 40?

I'll end on that :)
